Maruti Suzuki has some really big plans for the Indian market. In the next couple of years, the Indo-Japanese is planning to expand its SUV portfolio with a range of new models along with the multiple new-generation and facelift versions of the existing products. 1. New-Gen Maruti Swift
Japanese automaker, Suzuki has started testing the next-gen Swift hatchback on the European streets. If reports are to be believed, the new model will make global debut in December 2022; however, Suzuki is yet to make an official announcement on the same. The new model is also likely to arrive in our market in 2023, could debut at the Auto Expo in January. It will receive significant design changes and upgraded cabin. The new model will be based on the stronger version of the HEARTECT platform that underpins the new Baleno hatchback. It will continue to be offered with 1.2L DualJet petrol engine with manual and AMT gearbox options
Maruti Suzuki has launched the new Brezza sub-4 meter SUV in the country in the price bracket of Rs 7.99 lakh to Rs 13.96 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has also announced to launch the CNG version of the SUV in the near future. The CNG version will retain all the features that are available in the standard model. It will be powered by a 1.5-litre K15C, dual-jet petrol engine, which will be coupled to a factory fitted CNG kit. The Brezza CNG will get the same powertrain with a factory-fitted CNG kit. This engine is likely to produce around 87bhp of power and 121Nm of torque. It will only be offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Expected Launch – 2022-23
Maruti Suzuki has recently launched the new Alto K10 in the price bracket of Rs 3.99 lakh and Rs 5.84 lakh. The small car is available in petrol version only; however, the company has confirmed that the CNG version of the new Alto K10 will arrive soon. The current model is available with 67PS, 1.0L Dualjet petrol engine that also powers the Celerio. The Celerio is already offered with a factory-fitted CNG kit, which delivers 56.7PS and 82Nm, and a fuel economy of 35.6km/kg. Expect similar performance and efficiency figures from the Alto K10 CNG.
