Narmada River is considered the life line of Gujarat. Fifty-six years after the foundation stone for the Sardar Sarovar dam on the Narmada River was laid, the Gujarat government got the permission from the center to shut the gates of the dam which opens the doors of prosperity in Gujarat. The problem of water scarcity will not exist anymore. The government has decided to celebrate “Ma Narmada Mahotsav” for the completion of Sardar Sarovar dam work. To involve people in the grand celebrations, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani launched a website – www.narmadamahotsav.gujarat.gov.in.  District collector Dr. Kuldeep Aarya requested people to participate in the competition.
